Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required for Nuclear Operations Tech I.
  • Nuclear Operations Tech II requires HS diploma plus one of: RO/SRO license, Naval experience, or a 4-year engineering/related degree.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an active member of the station Fire Brigade.
  • Report on system and component status using the round process to keep supervision informed.
  • Start and stop plant equipment as directed by operating procedures.
  • Perform tests and checks on operability of system components (e.g., leakage).
  • Isolate and restore equipment as needed.
  • Outdoor surveillance required year-round on day and night shifts.
  • Maintain proficiency through ongoing training to advance in the tech hierarchy.
