Job summary

Constellation Energy seeks Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become licensed Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) for Clinton Nuclear Power Station in Clinton, IL. The program trains candidates to supervise licensed reactor operators and directly oversee bargaining unit operators.

Successful trainees will be fully licensed by the NRC to supervise licensed activities and may assist with outage coverage, emergency response, and related duties as they progress through training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Engineering degree or PE license; 1.5+ years as Reactor Operator or supervisor in a nuclear facility.
• SRO Instructor certification with 4 years at a comparable facility or 6 years at a non-comparable facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) including classroom and on-the-job training, plus evaluation.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license to supervise licensed reactor operators.
• Perform other duties as directed, including emergency response, outage support, and coverage.
