Job summary

Constellation Energy is recruiting for Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators (SRO) at Clinton Nuclear Power Station in Clinton, IL. The role trains you to supervise licensed reactor operators in the control room and to oversee bargaining unit operators and equipment staff during operations.

The program leads to NRC licensing after successful completion, with responsibilities including supervision, emergency response, outage support, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• SRO license or 4 years at a comparable facility OR 6 years at a non-comparable facility; engineering/physical sciences degree or professional engineer license encouraged.
• Maintain minimum access requirements and pass medical examinations as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) with classroom and on‑the‑job training and evaluations.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license to supervise licensed operators.
• Support emergency response, outages, and call-outs as needed per policy.
