Job summary

Constellation Energy is seeking Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators (SRO) at Clinton Nuclear Power Station in Clinton, IL. The program trains you to supervise licensed reactor operators in the control room and prepares you to oversee bargaining unit operators and equipment operators.

The role focuses on completing ILT, obtaining NRC licensing, and supporting outage activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1.5+ years reactor operator experience or 1 year at a comparable facility with relevant transitions.
• SRO Instructor certification (or 4 years experience at a comparable facility) qualifies you for the role.
• Must meet access requirements and pass medical examination for NRC licensing.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) with classroom and on‑the‑job training.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license to supervise licensed operators.
• Support outage activities, emergency response, and shift coverage as needed.
