Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Carle Health performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapies using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment, under departmental protocols and safety guidelines.

The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus with relocation assistance for relocations over 50 miles and opportunities to collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient care across our central Illinois network.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA)
• CNMT within 1 year - NMTCB
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year
• BLS certification within 30 days - AHA
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and patient flow

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment.
• Reviews cases with radiologist and assesses clinical data for medical necessity.
• Prepares and administers IV radiopharmaceuticals and performs veni-puncture.
• Transfers and verifies image data in PACS and communicates with Radiologist.
• Maintains imaging equipment and safety, supports cross-trained modalities as needed.
