Job summary
Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and assist with therapeutic administrations using radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment in line with Carle policies and safety regulations.
The role includes validating radiology orders, reviewing patient history, and ensuring quality imaging while maintaining equipment and providing patient safety. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for relocation over 50 miles.
Qualifications
- Education: College Diploma or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
- Certification: CNMT NMTCB within 1 year; NMT Registered within 1 year.
- BLS certification within 30 days.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapies using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment.
- Reviews orders and patient history to ensure medical necessity.
- Transfers and verifies image data in PACS; communicates with Radiologist.
- Maintains imaging equipment and work area; reports malfunctions promptly.
- Assists in instruction of students and new staff; may lead in absence.
- May perform duties of other modalities per licensure.
