Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Carle Health performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administrations using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment, while ensuring adherence to department protocols and safety standards.

You will review orders, patient history, and documentation, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate exams. The role includes PACS/PACS data transfers, equipment maintenance, and potential leadership duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires College Diploma or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Licenses/certifications include CNMT or equivalent within specified timelines.
• Knowledge of radiopharmaceutical administration and imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration using Nuc Med or PET/CT equipment.
• Reviews orders and patient history to ensure medical necessity and workflow efficiency.
• Maintains imaging equipment and ensures safety in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Transmits and verifies image data in PACS and supports Radiologist interpretation.
• Mentors students and staff as needed and may assume lead roles in absence of supervisor.
