Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine exams, set up imaging equipment, and position patients for diagnostic procedures. You will work with the department to ensure safe, quality studies and comply with safety, privacy, and preprocedural verification requirements.

The role requires ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or equivalent, and at least 1 year of clinical nuclear medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience with nuclear medicine.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to adjust technique to obtain the best study with quality imaging.
• Verifies patient identity and orders; prepares and positions the patient for procedures.
• Maintains infection control, cleans and disinfects equipment per policy.
• Operates NM equipment and ensures image quality is diagnostically acceptable.
• Assists radiologists and other technologists as needed and follows safety protocols.
