Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide age-appropriate care and perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures. The role requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Tech or CNMT certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

BLS is required; strong teamwork and patient communication are essential. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience required.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification.
• BLS certification required (Instructor preferred).

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality nuclear medicine studies with independent judgment.
• Prepare and position patients, operate imaging equipment per protocol.
• Verify orders and patient identity; ensure safety and privacy.
• Follow pre/post procedural care and infection control guidelines.
• Communicate with patients and families using AIDET principles.
• Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and assist elsewhere as needed.
• Restock supplies, participate in quality control and RIS/PACS tasks.
