Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administrations with Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment. You will review orders, patient history, and ensure high-quality imaging and data transfer to PACS, while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

The role supports teaching and may assume lead responsibilities in absence of the Nuc Med Lead. A strong focus on patient flow and independent work is essential.

Qualifications

• CNMT certification within 1 year.
• NMTCB certification within 1 year.
• Radiologic Technologist license (IEMA) required.
• BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapeutic administration using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment.
• Reviews orders and patient history for medical necessity; acquires additional information as needed.
• Maintains imaging quality by evaluating positioning and technical factors; ensures accurate data transfer to PACS.
• Maintains imaging equipment and supplies; reports malfunctions and coordinates safety procedures.
• Assists in teaching students and new staff; may lead in the absence of the Nuc Med Lead.
