Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and administer radiopharmaceuticals using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment per department protocols. You will review cases with radiologists, evaluate patient history for medical necessity, and maintain imaging quality.

Responsibilities include transferring data to PACS, ensuring patient safety, studying lab results, and assisting in teaching staff and students as needed.

Qualifications

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med, PET/CT equipment per department protocols.
• Reviews cases with radiologist and assesses labs/history for medical necessity.
• Maintains imaging equipment and workplace safety, ensures supply inventories and timely service needs.

Responsibilities

• Shares imaging data in PACS and provides history for Radiologist interpretation.
• Ensures patient safety and pregnancy screening when applicable.
• May instruct students and new staff and cover lead/coord roles in absence.
