Serves as a technical expert in diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures, including advanced imaging modalities and radiopharmaceutical therapies. Demonstrates mastery in complex NM and PET/CT procedures, mentoring other technologists, and leading radiation safety and protocol development. Develops competencies in therapeutic procedures such as MIBG I-131 Therapy, Lutathera, and Y-90 treatments. Provides expert patient care while maintaining safety and quality standards. Acts as a resource for the department, supporting quality improvement and educational initiatives, including training and mentoring staff and students.
Department: Nuclear Medicine
Job Status: Full-Time; 40 hours/week with benefits
Population-specific care: Neonate to adult, tailored to age groups from < 30 days to > 65 years.
Essential Functions: Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures independently, including specialized treatments, ensuring optimal image quality and safety. Provides mentorship, develops imaging protocols, manages radiopharmaceuticals, coordinates patient workflows, performs quality control, educates patients, operates advanced imaging systems, participates in accreditation and quality initiatives, manages emergency responses, and ensures regulatory compliance.
Scope and Level: Fully qualified, capable of exercising judgment within guidelines, performing complex duties with minimal oversight.
Physical Requirements: Good color, vision, hearing; ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and manipulate with weights up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment: Frequent exposure to radiation, blood, body fluids, infectious diseases; occasional exposure to irritants and chemicals. Requires independent decision-making, stress management, and effective teamwork.

Annual salary: $79,754.92 to $119,632.39; Hourly: $38.34 to $57.52. Benefits include competitive pay, incentives, paid time off, insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and professional development. Eligible employees may receive bonuses based on organizational performance.
