Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is a professional medical organization committed to the healing mission of Medicine. CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 35 locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are currently hiring for a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work at our Paoli, PA location.

Please note this role is entitled to a $2,500.00 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess patients using established procedures. Provide instructions and answer questions. Prepare patients by placing IVs, electrodes, etc., according to protocols. Obtain necessary consent.
  • Perform imaging procedures following established guidelines. Adjust techniques as needed for patient conditions to achieve optimal results.
  • Process clinical studies promptly and report results. Notify physicians of abnormal findings for follow-up.
  • Assist with stress testing, monitor patient responses, and provide emergency care if needed. Monitor post-stress patients and communicate issues to staff.
  • Maintain accurate databases and records, archive studies, and prepare documentation for charts and referrals.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and meetings.
  • Keep confidential medical records, document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, and test results per regulatory standards.
  • Report patient or equipment issues to Medical Director.
  • Prepare for and participate in NRC and state inspections.
  • Contribute to research projects as directed.
  • Manage radioactive materials in accordance with NRC and state regulations.
  • Conduct quality control testing on equipment and report issues to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical nuclear medicine experience, including at least 1 year in nuclear cardiology or 2 years in clinical nuclear cardiology.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency with computers; experience with EMR systems is a plus.
