Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring radioactive materials safety for staff, patients, and yourself, following regulations.
  • Performing Nuclear Medicine exams according to protocols.
  • Administering prescribed radioactive pharmaceuticals.
  • Providing immobilization and protection during procedures.
  • Proficiency with NM equipment.
  • Maintaining department functions and documentation.
  • Collaborating with Radiation Safety Officers to meet quality standards.
  • Restocking supplies and transmitting studies for review.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of one year in clinical Nuclear Medicine imaging.

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT(N)) or Nuclear Medicine Board Certified (CNMT).
