Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures carefully, compassionately, and respectfully, prioritizing patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Using radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
  • Preparing radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders, and administering and recording dosages.
  • Performing diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs.
  • Positioning patients and adjusting immobilization devices.
  • Explaining procedures to patients compassionately and addressing concerns.
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating utilizing computerized documentation.
  • Assisting with transporting patients if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
  • AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
