Shift: Shift 1 / 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $36.48 per hour

Summary

Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector to produce diagnostic quality MR images. Understands the computer software of the MR scanners and maintains competency. Applies knowledge of MR anatomy and patho-physiology to produce high-quality images under radiologist supervision. Provides safe patient care and promotes satisfaction among patients, staff, and physicians. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and staff training. Performs venipuncture and may transport non-narcotic medications as directed.

Requirements

Educational: Graduation from JRCERT-accredited or ARRT-approved Radiography or MRI degree program.

Licenses: Florida Radiologic Technologist License (for radiology techs) or MRI degree (for non-radiology techs).

Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required; ARRT registration or eligibility required. For Florida locations, ARRT certification in Radiology and MRI is required.
