Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PRN role across multiple sites in the United States. The position involves performing a wide range of imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality diagnostic studies.

The role requires ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certification in Nuclear Medicine, plus 1 year of clinical experience and BLS certification. Candidates should be prepared to work up to 40 hours per week with education funding and career progression

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting caring for patients.
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required upon hire.
• BLS - Instructor certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to adjust technique to optimize image quality.
• Reports equipment problems to maintenance.
• Cleans, disinfects and maintains NM equipment per policy.
• Verifies proper clinician order and patient identity.
• Performs imaging procedures and analyzes results.
• Responds to emergencies and maintains life-support readiness.
• Assists other technologists as needed.
• Educates patients using AIDET approach.
• Maintains documentation with precise terminology.
