Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, setting up equipment, and delivering safe, age-appropriate care in a fast-paced environment.

This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and a path for professional growth within Wellstar’s diagnostic imaging team. Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent certification, and

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: 1 year of clinical patient care; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain best diagnostic study while maintaining image quality.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment per infection control policy.
• Assist other technologists and support procedures as needed.
• Verify patient identity, order accuracy, and preprocedural verification.
• Ensure patient privacy and comfort throughout the exam and post-procedure care.
