Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of imaging procedures, ensuring safe and age-appropriate patient care. The role requires independent judgment, setting up equipment, and positioning patients for accurate diagnostic studies.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or equivalent, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in patient care required.
• 1 year Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS Instructor certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and patient safety.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor for timely repair.
• Disinfect and maintain NM equipment per policy.
• Verify patient identity and orders; ensure proper preprocedural verification.
