Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide age-appropriate care and perform imaging studies per department procedures. The role requires setup of NM equipment, patient positioning, and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

The candidate should hold an Associates in Radiologic Technology with ARRT NM certification and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT Nuclear Technology certification required or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical radiology experience; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Active BLS certification or Instructor level required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and set up for imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient identification, consent, and safety throughout procedures.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Prepare pre/post procedural care and documentation with accurate terminology.
• Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff to provide quality exams.
