Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Maintains current license to practice in Rhode Island.
• Must hold ARRT or CNMT certification for Nuclear Medicine.
• Ability to interact with patients to ease fears and anxieties.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs patient studies as directed by the Nuclear Medicine Manager.
• Operates gamma cameras, dose calibrator and related equipment.
• Processes images and inputs data into PACS; verifies images for radiologist review.
• Maintains radiation safety and proper disposal of radioactive materials.
• Transports patients and assists with related housekeeping duties as needed.
