Job summary

The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform routine studies and support the Nuclear Medicine program under the Medical Imaging Manager. You will operate gamma cameras, PACS, and related equipment, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, ensure radiation safety, and document quality assurance in accordance with department procedures.

Must hold Rhode Island license and ARRT or CNMT certification, with completion of formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training;

Qualifications

  • Formal training in an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Rhode Island license to practice.
  • Current Nuclear Medicine ARRT or CNMT certification.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Knowledge to operate nuclear medicine equipment and prepare radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to maintain meticulous nuclear medicine records across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform patient studies and analysis per department procedures.
  • Operate gamma cameras, dose calibrator, well counter, RIS, PACS and related systems.
  • Process and verify images in PACS for radiologist review.
  • Bill patients for supplies with correct codes and counts.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance on imaging and monitoring instruments.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceutical kits and ensure safe handling and disposal.
