Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform routine studies and support the Nuclear Medicine Program. Under the supervision of the Manager of Medical Imaging, you will operate gamma cameras and related equipment, process images in PACS, and maintain accurate radiopharmaceutical records.

The role emphasizes patient care across adult and geriatric populations, adherence to radiation safety procedures, and collaboration with Radiology physicians and Nuclear

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Current license to practice in the State of Rhode Island.
• Current Nuclear Medicine ARRT or CNMT certification.
• Interpersonal skills to interface with patients and staff.
• Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment and calculate radiopharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs patient studies per department procedures.
• Operates gamma cameras, uptake units, dose calibrator, well counter, and related equipment.
• Processes images and enters required information in the PACS system; verifies images for radiologist review.
• Performs daily quality assurance on imaging and monitoring instruments.
• Disposes decayed radiopharmaceuticals and maintains logs.
• Assists with department accreditation and training of staff.
