Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology procedures in accordance with established protocols and ALARA principles. The role requires patient positioning, protocol selection, QC, and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will explain procedures to patients, ensure safety, maintain required records, and mentor students and junior technologists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Certification: ARDMS/N MT? ARRT Nuclear Med Tech, CNMT or NMTCB, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures per protocols and ALARA.
• Position patients and equipment, select protocols, and perform quality control.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide assistance during tests.
• Maintain records, licenses and files as required by regulators.
• Mentor students and junior technologists.
• Post-process advanced imaging with tools like Syngo Via.
