Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Advocate South Suburban Hospital. The role involves performing Planar and SPECT procedures, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Day shift, Monday to Friday, with every 3rd weekend coverage. 40 hours per week, benefits eligible, with no holidays. Prior experience with GE gamma cameras and IL Nuclear Safety licensing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Planar and SPECT Nuclear Medicine procedures using single and dual detector Gamma cameras with proper patient positioning.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and document all pertinent information.
• Maintain ALARA safety practices and perform daily calibration and quality checks on equipment.
• Respond to patient/physician requests and monitor supplies to ensure department continuity.
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as necessary.
