Job summary

Advocate Health in Barrington, IL, seeks a part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Nuclear Medicine department. The role includes performing imaging procedures, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring patient safety in a busy clinical setting.

Schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday with rotating Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm, plus call and holiday rotation with 60-minute response. Candidates must hold ARRT NM/CNMT certification and CPR, and be able to work ALARA standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT NM or CNMT certification and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of HIS, RIS and PACS systems required.

Responsibilities

• Determine imaging techniques and positions for quality scans.
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and administer as prescribed.
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure accurate exam charges and records.
• Maintain ALARA safety practices and proper radiology records.
• Operate NM and PET equipment safely and train new staff.
