Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform Planar and SPECT imaging, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure patient safety. You will handle venipuncture, documentation, and quality checks in a hospital setting.

On-call and weekend coverage may be required; IL licensure-eligibility is preferred. Work onsite in Illinois with access to modern gamma cameras and QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Licensed by IL Department of Nuclear Safety or Registry eligible.
• 1 year experience preferred in nuclear medicine.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient and physician requests.
• Perform Planar and SPECT Nuclear Medicine procedures with gamma cameras.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per policy.
• Carry out venipuncture and IV placement for meds.
• Maintain ALARA principles and radiation safety.
• Document requisitions and patient histories thoroughly.
• Assist with daily equipment QA and safety checks.
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage.
