Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures with emphasis on image quality and patient safety. You will collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and continuity of patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires handling radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining equipment and documentation, and ensuring adherence to ALARA principles. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human physiology
• Knowledge of Scintigraphic equipment, Acquisition computers, and processing stations
• Knowledge of Hot Lab equipment
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds
• Ability to manage multiple details in busy environments
• English communication skills (verbal & written)
• Basic computer skills (MS Office)
• Ability to follow Radiology software packages
• Ability to maintain ALARA principles in exposure control
• Independent judgment and initiative

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers for imaging continuity
• Maintain room readiness, stock supplies, and ensure equipment functionality
• Enter quality control data and exam charges accurately in systems
• Verify patient/exam identity and correct accession numbers
• Prepare radionuclides and explain procedures to patients
• Adhere to departmental policies and radiation safety standards
• Assist in training and guiding coworkers and students
