Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will work under a Nuclear Medicine Physician to perform PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure radiation safety across patient tests.

The role requires certification in NM or NMTCB, Texas licensure, and current BLS; ACLS within six months is expected. A strong emphasis on accuracy and patient care across in-patient and outpatient settings is

Qualifications

• CAHEA accredited Nuclear Medicine program completion or equivalent.
• Texas Medical Technology Registry (MTR) must be current.
• Certification by ARRT (NM) or NMTCB is required.
• NMTCB PET certification is preferred.
• Current BLS provider required; ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures as part of Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T imaging.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independence and initiative.
• Perform tests for in-patients and out-patients.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in scope of practice.
• Demonstrate strong radiation safety practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine

MTR State of Texas

ARRT NM or NMTCB certification

NMTCB PET certification

American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS

ACLS within 6 months
