Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team. The role involves performing radiographic procedures under a Nuclear Medicine Physician, applying isotopes for diagnostic purposes, and caring for in-patients and out-patients with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualified candidates will hold a Texas MTR license, ARRT NM or NMTCB certification, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR Texas license required.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current BLS provider.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance of Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures as assigned.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independent judgment.
• Perform tests in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrate radiation safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
