Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. The role supports radiographic procedures under a Nuclear Medicine Physician, applying isotopes for diagnostic imaging and ensuring radiation safety.

You will operate diverse NM cameras and administer radiopharmaceuticals per practice guidelines. Qualifications include a Texas MTR license, ARRT NM or NMTCB certification, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas license required.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performs general radiographic procedures as part of Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T technologist duties.
• Uses Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment to perform tests in-patients and out-patients.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates commitment to radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Performs responsibilities with a high degree of independent judgment and initiative.
• Other duties as assigned.
