Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician for a full-time role. The position supports Nuclear Medicine/PET procedures under a physician and uses radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment with a focus on patient safety.

The campus is part of the HCA Healthcare network in the Dallas area. You will perform radiographic procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure radiation safety while collaborating with a team of specialists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
• MTR State of Texas license.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
• Other duties as assigned

CAHEA accredited Nuclear Medicine program

MTR Texas license

ARRT NM certification

NMTCB certification

NMTCB PET certification

BLS certification

ACLS certification within 6 months
