Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for RWJUH Somerset in Somerville, NJ. The role operates on the Day Shift with a 40-hour schedule and requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

Qualified applicants must hold a NJ State license and ARRT and/or NMTCBLS certification; PET experience is a plus. The job offers a competitive hourly pay with a sign-on bonus for external applicants.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
PET experience a plus.
Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist.

Responsibilities

Performs hot lab functions for radiopharmaceuticals following vendor, departmental and DEP rules.
Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras per protocols.
Identifies patients before procedures and explains the process to ensure comfort.
Obtains best images using prescribed parameters to ensure accurate results.
Assists nuclear physician with imaging procedures and maintains department cleanliness.
Fulfills duties with courtesy and supports physicians, patients and staff.
