Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform advanced radionuclide procedures and image acquisition in a fast-paced radiology department. You will operate PET/CT and gamma cameras, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure strict safety and documentation standards.

The role requires an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program graduate, ARRT(N) and/or CNMT certification, and NJ state licensure with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Performs radionuclide procedures on patients for imaging, function studies, and therapeutic use under physician guidance.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine equipment and ensures safety protocols are followed.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and tracer compounds; calibrates equipment.
• Maintains accurate records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage, and disposal per regulations.
• Follows NRC, State DEP, and JCAHO guidelines; participates in daily QA and on-call duties.
• Interacts with patients and staff, ensuring compassionate care and adherence to AIDET standards.
