Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radionuclide procedures, image acquisition, and assist physicians and other staff in the department.

Qualified candidates will have graduation from an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology, ARRT certification or CNMT, and a Nuclear Medicine Technologist license; strong communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills with common office software.

Responsibilities

• Performs radionuclide procedures on patients including organ imaging and function studies and assists physicians in therapeutic uses of radioisotopes.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine equipment and maintains safety protocols.
• Prepares radiopharmaceuticals and tracer compounds for patient use.
• Ensures accurate records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage and disposal.
• Assists in procedures with radiation therapists, RNs, physicians and staff; maintains PACS/EMR workflow.
