Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radionuclide procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure safety standards. The role requires a completed Nuclear Medicine Technology program and state licensure, with ARRT(N) or CNMT registration preferred.

Minimum starting rate: $44.30 per hour, with sign-on eligibility up to $10,000 for full-time positions on day or evening shifts accepted by October 22, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).
• Minimum of one year Nuclear Medicine experience (preferred).
• ARRT(N) and/or CNMT Registry; NJ State License.

Responsibilities

• Performs radionuclide procedures on patients including organ imaging and function studies.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed.
• Provides radiation protection for self and patient per safety guidelines.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and tracers.
• Maintains records of radioisotope receipt, storage, and disposal per regulations.
• Ensures room and equipment cleanliness and contamination control.
• Follows NRC, State DEP, and JCAHO guidelines.
• Uses PACS to evaluate image quality and proper patient IDs.
• Rotates duties within Nuclear Cardiology and PET/CT.
• Performs daily clerical duties (EPIC, PACS, scheduling).
• On-call, weekends and holidays as needed.
