Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radionuclide imaging procedures, assist physicians, and ensure patient safety in a busy radiology department.

You will operate NM equipment, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, maintain records per NRC and state guidelines, and participate in QA activities. Strong communication and computer skills, ARRT(N) or CNMT, and NJ license are required or expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office/Google Suite).
• Minimum of one year of Nuclear Medicine experience (preferred).
• ARRT(N) and/or CNMT Registry; NJ State license; BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform radionuclide procedures for organ imaging and function studies.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed.
• Provide radiation protection for patient and staff.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
• Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use.
• Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides.
• Maintain records of radiopharmaceuticals and regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to NRC/State guidelines and optimize image quality.
• Utilize PACS, EPIC, and Nuclear Medicine systems for daily duties.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday shifts.
