Overview
This is a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine position supporting a variety of diagnostic imaging and patient care needs.
This role will operate within a single-technologist department model, providing a unique opportunity for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to help establish workflows and contribute to the development of a brand-new department.

Planned start dates for these positions are March 2027. Team members will complete orientation and training prior to the facility opening on May 1, 2027.

These rotations are designed to provide exposure to a wide variety of procedures and patient populations that may not currently be available in local Fort Wayne outpatient settings.
Most positions will participate in a rotating holiday schedule.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radiopharmaceuticals to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process. Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.
