Indiana University Health System’s West Hospital seeks a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, image recording, and patient positioning from pediatric to geriatric.
Requirements include 0-3 years of experience, BLS, ARRT NM or NMTCB credentials (or board-eligible with credential within 6 months), ISDH license, and CT certification within 18 months if performing SPECT/CT or PET/CT. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30a-4p.
This is a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist position located at West Hospital. The hours are M-F 7:30a-4pm. No holidays, weekends or call required!
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radiopharmaceuticals to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process. Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.
Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
