This is a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist position located at North Hospital. The technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radiopharmaceuticals to carry out body function studies, organ imaging, and analysis of biological specimens. The position requires the ability to work with patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric, following physicians’ instructions, preparing and operating equipment, and positioning patients accurately to obtain requested diagnostic images.
Key responsibilities include safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals during receipt, storage, administration, and disposal; adherence to laboratory procedures; and compliance with hospital, state, and federal policies and regulations regarding radioactive materials, hazardous chemicals, and body fluids.
