Indiana University Health System is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the North Hospital location. The role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, handling radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring high standards of safety and patient care.
Candidate must maintain current ISDH license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist and hold ARRT NM or NMTCB CNMT credentials, with the ability to obtain CT certification within 18 months if needed.
This is a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist position located at North Hospital.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radiopharmaceuticals to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process. Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.
