Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to join our advanced imaging team. Under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will perform nuclear medicine and PET procedures, ensure dose safety, and deliver compassionate patient care.

Requirements include Basic Cardiac Life Support, ACLS within 6 months, and NMTCB or NMT-AART NM certification; PET certification preferred. This PRN role supports our 895+ bed tertiary center with state-of-the-art technology.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required.
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• State Registered Radiologic Technician; NMTCB/NMT-AART NM certification required or NMTCB PET preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring independent judgment to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to radiation safety.
