Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide age-appropriate care and perform a wide range of imaging procedures. You will set up imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic studies while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include patient prep, radiopharmaceutical administration, image review, and collaboration with radiology staff. Excellent communication and accuracy are essential in a busy department.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program
• Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion required
• ARRT‑N or CNMT certification required at hire

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and obtain patient clinical history.
• Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine exams.
• Ensure proper radiopharmaceutical administration and patient safety.
• Review images with radiologist and ensure quality studies.
• Maintain equipment, infection control, and inventory per policy.
• Provide patient education and communicate with families as needed.
