Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar provides safe, age-appropriate patient care by performing department exams and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. You’ll setup and operate imaging equipment, position patients, and work independently within established procedures to support accurate diagnoses.

Key responsibilities include verifying orders, obtaining histories, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with radiology staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures.
• Verify orders, gather history, and review contraindications.
• Ensure correct patient identification and proper radiopharmaceutical administration.
• Operate equipment and adjust techniques to optimize image quality.
• Assist with restocking and maintaining department supplies and cleanliness.
• Document procedures and communicate findings to radiologists.
