Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team in Lewisville, TX. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. You will perform Nuclear Medicine/PET procedures and related radiographic tasks using diverse imaging equipment.

The position requires TX MTR license, ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification, NMTCB-PET preferred, and BLS. ACLS within 6 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
• MTR license, State of Texas.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients; utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment; administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
