Ascension Health in Boonville, IN, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to capture high-precision diagnostic images and manage radioactive materials with strict safety.

Responsibilities include patient positioning for optimal scans, adherence to safety protocols, and timely delivery of images to digital archives to support fast, accurate diagnoses.

Formación

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nuclear Medicine Tech credential from IMRS or NMTCB required before hire.
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB/CNMT credentials before hire; OR Radiologic Technologist with Radiography specialization and related NM credentials.
• High school equivalency with 2 years' cumulative experience OR associate/technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

• Capture high-precision diagnostic images by operating specialized cameras that map radiopharmaceuticals for physician interpretation.
• Manage the lifecycle of radioactive materials—from ordering and preparation to safe disposal.
• Position patients and select technical parameters to ensure high-quality scans on first attempt.
• Lead radiation safety by following protection guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure prompt delivery of images and patient histories to digital archives to speed up diagnostics.

Educación

High School diploma equivalency + 2 years cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Capture high-precision diagnostic images by skillfully operating specialized cameras that map radiopharmaceuticals, providing the clarity needed for accurate physician interpretation.
• Manage the lifecycle of radioactive materials—from ordering and preparation to safe disposal—ensuring every dose is handled with clinical exactness and patient safety in mind.
• Advocate for patient comfort and safety by accurately selecting technical parameters and positioning patients to ensure a successful, high-quality scan the first time.
• Lead radiation safety excellence by strictly following protection guidelines, ensuring a secure environment for the patient, yourself, and the entire medical team.
• Optimize the diagnostic workflow by ensuring the prompt delivery of images and detailed patient histories to digital archives, facilitating faster answers for our patients.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. AND/OR NuclearMedicine Certification (NMTCB/CNMT)
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
