Job summary

Shields Health Care is seeking a Nuclear Med/PET Technologist for our Concord, MA location. The role involves operating PET equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality images in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Candidates must hold a state license, CPR certification, ARRT or NMTCB registration, and at least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience. Strong IV skills and patient comfort are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess CPR certification.
• Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
• A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be proficient in starting IVs.
• Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Shields Health Care policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
• Perform all hot lab responsibilities and ensure patients are cleared of contraindications.
• Position the patient accurately and ensure their comfort during the exam.
• Record patient data to the Tech Data Entry program and forward PET data to Radiologist.
• Refilm cases as time allows and assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.

## Nuclear Med/PET Technologist PDApplylocations: Newburyport, MA: Concord, MAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-100915**Job Summary:**In keeping with Shields Health Care commitment to excellence, the PET technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.**Job Description:****What you will do:*** Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.* Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products.* Performs all hot lab responsibilities.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films when appropriate.* Forward PET related data to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Refilm cases as time allows* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.**Required Qualifications****What you need:*** Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which he/she is employed to work* Must be certified in CPR* Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.* A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must be proficient in starting IVs.* Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.**Additional Job Description:**Pay range for this position is $32 - $60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
