Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. This full-time role involves contributing to the design of mechanical systems for power plant projects across multiple U.S.

sites, including pumps, piping, and heat exchangers. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, produce engineering drawings and reports, and ensure adherence to codes and QA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship required due to Federal Contract.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering documents: drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses meeting codes and client needs.
• Adhere to standards: develop documents in line with client and regulatory requirements while following procedures.
• Stay ahead: keep current with industry codes, safety principles, and advanced design techniques in the nuclear sector.
• Commit to excellence: produce deliverables meeting QA standards and project scopes.
• Build lasting client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Be hands-on in the field: travel to plant sites for on-site walkdowns and assessments.
