Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group in the United States. The role focuses on designing mechanical systems for power generation and nuclear facilities, delivering accurate drawings, reports, and analyses for diverse projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, travel to plant sites up to 10%, and ensure compliance with industry codes while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering documents: accurate drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses meeting codes and client needs.
• Adhere to standards: align documents with requirements while following procedures and directives.
• Stay ahead of the curve: keep knowledge current with industry codes, safety principles and nuclear design techniques.
