Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Nuclear Design Group.

The role involves designing mechanical systems for power plants, leading multi-discipline projects, and supporting a range of plant modifications from conceptual through to on-site delivery. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of design experience in power generation or DOE projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Able to contribute individually and work well in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering documents: drawings, calculations, analyses meeting codes and client needs.
• Adhere to standards: align with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay ahead of the curve: keep updated with industry codes, safety, and nuclear design.
• Commit to excellence: produce QA-compliant deliverables aligned to scope.
• Build lasting client relationships through clear communication and reliable solutions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Be hands-on in the field: travel to plant sites and perform on-site walkdowns.
